Mr. Quick and gentlemen,

Just a short note of thanks to you, your company and your product.

Living right outside of New Orleans, I evacuated for Hurricane Katrina, about 40 miles north.  I got hit at my home and my farm house (to which I evacuated).  NO electricity, water or communications.   Daytime temperatures were in the mid-90’s.  I sent my nephew on a search mission for generators (having 10 relatives including parents over 80 and my dad is a diabetic) in order to get bare minimums up and cool off the group.  He came back with two high end Honda generators….powering what we needed to comfort the group.  Leading me to my problem situation…..

Gas generators run very hot and need oil changed after 20 hours and then 50 hours.   The generators were my lifeline to support my family in exile.

I could not find a socket to fit the oil drain nut.  11mm, 12mm neither fit…one too small one too big.  ˝ inch too big….EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING and I was concerned it would compromise the units and our comfort.   I tried everything: over a dozen different sockets, a dozen different wrenches, everything I had in an extensive tool cabinet…….. I called Honda and the supplier….no fix.

I’ve seen your product for years and it came to mind.   Went to local Lowe’s, picked one up, ran back to house.   It popped on, awesome tight fit, the bolt came out………………AWESOME!!!!   Your product saved the day and in my mind replaced hundreds of dollars of Craftsman, Stanley, Maco, tools with one Gator Grip socket.

I don’t usually write these kinds of notes, but though you may get a bit of satisfaction and pride from my note.

 Thanks , Jimmy Treuting   10/4/05

I just wanted to drop you a note to thank your for this marvelous socket.
I recently purchased a vintage VW for restoration and was having a tough time removing rusted in body bolts; many of which had been eaten half through by unchecked rust and negligence.
My traditional sockets couldn't  remove the "rounded heads " of these bolts.
Then I discovered your product at the local hardware store. It worked like a charm!  One by one my Gator Grip socket popped those bolts free and, after a week of busted knuckles and cursing I can tell you I am one happy VW owner now!
Thanks again for your invention. It saved my bacon. ;-)
Best Regards,

My wife and I just purchased a new boat over the weekend and I was off to buy a small tool set for it.  I saw the Gator Grip at one of our local stores and picked it up.  The socket works beautifully on the various items I need it for on the boat, and it?s great because I only need one socket!  My primary decision to purchase your product was based on the fact that you build it here in America, and that means a lot to me and other companies who continue to build products here.  Everything on the shelves were made in China, except yours.  I applaud you in keeping the development and manufacturing here in the USA, and for keeping the American entrepreneurial and invention-savvy spirit alive!

Also, knowing that you build other socket sizes, I'll be purchasing those also.  I can't wait to try them out on my auto's!  Thanks again!

Best regards,

Hello,
My name is Frank Parsons of Newark, NY. I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how thoroughly I was impressed with you product. I have been trying different things to remove a broken spark plug from my truck to no avail. I had inserted an Easy-out in the plug and had broken or striped 4 different sockets by tapping them onto a square head of the Easy-out.
I had seen your product on TV before but figured that it was just some piece of garbage socket that could get off bolts that were mildly stripped. I will admit I thought it was a good idea but all the pins would fall out during its first heavy job. To make a long story short, I was at Wal-Mart in Newark this past Sat. looking for another socket to break on the Easy-out. I saw the Gator-Grip on the shelf and figured I'll try it and when it broke I would just take it back and get my money back.
Well let me tell you. I slid it over the top of the square head of the Easy-out and put the ratchet on it and tried to wrench it out. Well whoever had the truck before I did must not have changed the plugs in years. It would not budge. So I grabbed a 3 ft. steel pipe and slid it over the handle of the ratchet. The Gator-Grip did not budge, it locked on to the Easy-out, which in turn locked on to the inside of the plug. It took about 4 1/4 turns of the ratchet and out it all came, with the Gator-Grip firmly still locked on the Easy-out, and the base of the broken plug attached to that.
So I was wrong this is not some cheaply made product. In fact I have brought it to work to show it off and sing the praises of the Gator-Grip. And I am writing you to admit I was wrong and what a great product you have invented. During the summer I drive demolition derbies in NY state and I will be using my new toy (Gator-Grip) to strip and repair all my cars as well as telling other drivers how invaluable this tool is.
                                                          Thank You,
                                                          Frank Parsons

My name is Charles Coghill, a soldier in the US Army.  I wanted to take a minute and tell you how happy I have been with the gator grip.  I took the regular wrench and gator socket over to Iraq the first time and used it more than I thought I would.  A lot of times I would have the wrong size socket, no time to find the tool truck and out came the gator.  After I got the hang of it I found myself using it more and more.  So when I got orders to go again, I found a gator socket and short wrench at Walmart that will fit perfect on my body armor.  I hadn't seen it before and it will be perfect.  If you need some product testers for anything else let me know and I will be happy to do it or find someone else in the battery to do it.  Thank you again for a well made useful product.

 Happy Holidays , Charles Coghill

I needed to change my oil and found that the head of the drain plug was rounded off. I checked with my local service provider and found out that they wanted $45 plus to take care of the problem. I work part time at a True Value hardware store and remembered that they had the gator-grip socket in stock. I decided to give it a try.

It only took a few seconds to realize that I had made the right decision. I was able to remove the drain plug with ease and the rest is history.

The cost of the socket and new drain plug was much less than the garage was going to charge me.

You have a great product and I would like to see it expanded into other areas.

Thanks a bunch,

Royce Thorpe

Being a purist, with a mechanical background, I am always skeptical of claims of do-all, fit-all tools. I was pleasantly surprised. Gator Grip worked well on all the projects I tried.

I recommend this product as a general purpose tool to keep on the workbench. This product works great when working on general household projects. I used it to change the oil on my van and I was impressed at how the product performed. The oil plug was on tight and the product had no problem taking it off. Same with tightening it down.

This is an excellent addition to my tool box. It makes it very easy when doing general maintenance around the house when dealing with various size nuts and bolts. You do not have to constantly change sockets. My wife liked it so much that she took it for her own tool box so I had to get a new one.

The Gator Grip arrived just at the right time. I was in the middle of working on my truck, changing sockets every few minutes. This little item is a real time saver, a sort of one size fits all. It also is great with worn or uneven nuts. Its unique design lets it grip even the oddest shape nut. Going from metric to standard is no trouble since the Gator Grip adjusts automatically to each nut. The power adapter let me use my drill to loosen and tighten nuts in a flash. In a word this is one ?NEAT? tool.

Gary Raymond (St Bernardino, CA)

The Gator Grip Universal Socket performs as claimed and no complete tool box should be without it. The ability to use a socket to drive odd shaped fasteners such as square nuts and screw eyes is worth the price alone. The ability to handle metric and standard fasteners is a bonus since many American vehicles use a mixture of both types.

Mike Mermel (Gurnee, IL)

I love it. It works in different sizes, bolts, I did not have to change sockets. It feels very strong and it never slips. It is very useful with square and hex bolts.

Roberto Rivera (Boston, MA)

This gator Grip has come in handy at home and at work. This little gadget has cut my time in half. It also worked on some of the bolts that have been rounded off and been there for months stuck.
